Loch Sport is an unspoilt bush
heaven in the East Gippsland region of Victoria, it is situated on the shoreline of lake
Victoria with unique access to the 90 mile beach, national and coastal parks, excellent
water sport facilities and has a gentle year round climate.
Visitors to Loch Sport are not
likely to run out of things to do, some of which include :-

Lake Victoria (shore-jetties-groynes-boats) catches include

Great boating-skiing-sailing can be had
on Lake Victoria most of the year,
Loch Sport boat Club welcomes visitors to participate
in its events, excellent marine facilities are available at the Marina. Loch Sport also
has 3 public launching ramps within the township. There is a host of secluded/safe
swimming beaches on Lake Victoria and the 90 mile beach offers many beautiful and unspoilt
areas with small to medium surf conditions.
Bushwalking - Bird Watching
Loch Sport offers the walker-bird watcher
a unique opportunity to enjoy their hobby in the most tranquil and natural environment
imaginable. There are many kilometres of secluded tracks that reveal the areas diverse
range of flora and fauna. Rotamah island with its world renowned bird observatory also
conducts natural history education programs. From August to November the Lakes National
Park puts on a spectacular show of wildflowers, including one of the best displays of
native orchids to be found anywhere in Australia.
Sports-other facilities
Local tennis-bowls-golf-dance and RSL
clubs welcome visitors to share their facilities and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Those taking part in outdoor sports are always assured of being watched by a gallery of
kangaroos, wallabys, deer and emus. Loch Sport is also well known for the diverse range of
craft produced within the town.
